Sign-up for Asparagus’ pre-order!
Welcome to our weekly update on Dromadis Health! 👋
As usual, comments and feedback are suuuuper welcome. Email us, comment on this post, or just reach out for a chat, we’re friendly people! 😁
We’re building Asparagus, the first device that tracks your diet, effortlessly. It works by analyzing your urine, directly from your toilet bowl. 🚽
This week, in short
We released our pre-order signup form, 3D printed our first prototype, planned the next steps for our MVP, and brought on board an expert urologist! 👨🏻⚕️
Week #8 accomplishments
🎉 You can now join the pre-order list for Asparagus!
And you’re the first people to know about this!
So, if you’re an Asparagus supporter, make sure to sign up today and share it with your friends and family!
🖨️ We 3D-printed our first prototype
The first Asparagus parts were printed on Thursday! 😍
After a few failed attempts… We finally did it! As you’re reading, we are most probably assembling the parts into two beautiful Asparagus devices. Loads of testing will be done this weekend to simulate the experience and refine our design.
We can’t wait to share photos with you! (of the device, not the testing)
Pro tip – if you sign up to the pre-order list early enough… maybe you’ll be able to beta test one of our prototypes 🤫
📝 We wrote the technical documentation for our MVP
On top of sorting out the outer part of Asparagus with 3D printing, our amazing CTO Rosalia has also been working hard on the real tech behind Asparagus.
She wrote up the first detailed version of our MVP’s technical documentation (Minimal Viable Product) this week. We know exactly what needs to be done in the next few weeks.
We are expecting to have a prototype that can measure sodium in urine, directly from your toilet, and send results to your phone in January. Exciting!
👀 We set up our marketing stack
Now that our new website is set up for pre-pre-orders and we are running a bunch of ad experiments, setting up a user behaviour analysis stack was necessary.
After comparing a few tools, we are using Heap as our main analysis tool, and a combination of Mixpanel and Google Analytics to understand our audience better. If you’re curious, Typeform, Airtable, Slack, and Zapier complete our marketing stack.
If you have any questions about digital marketing, feel free to reach out! 😄
🦤 We built an interactive financial model on Causal
Have you heard of Causal? It’s basically an interactive shareable Excel that can handle uncertainty properly.
Result: we built our first interactive financial model to explore the impact of our choices (e.g. pricing model) and assumptions (e.g. cost of specific part) on our unit-economics.
Hit me up if you want to see our model!
💳 We set up our business banking with Monzo
We can now pay for things, properly – we just need to have money to pay with! Let’s fill up that bank account. 💪
Say hello to Prof. Mark Emberton! 👋
Prof. Emberton is the Dean of the Faculty of Medecine at University College London. He is specialized in Urology, and his research focuses on early prostate cancer diagnostics. He will be joining us as a scientific advisor!
Here’s to a great collaboration! 🥂
