We’re exploring Asparagus 🥬, a device to analyse your urine directly from your toilet bowl, and Onion 🧅, a smart contact lens case to analyse fluid from your eyes.

This week, in short

We got an expert on board to support us on the tech, dove deep into customer development, met with a major contact lens company, and most importantly, got our first paying customer! 🎉

Week #2 accomplishments

💸 We got our first paying customer (without asking)!

Henry expressed strong interest in Asparagus during our first customer development interview. On Thursday, he overheard us brainstorming about who our first users should be, and came to see us. He gave us £10.

“I already told you I wanted to buy your product.” – Henry

Damn – that’s motivating! Now we need to deliver!

👩🏻‍🔬 Brought on board the world-leading expert in our tech

We traveled to Bath to meet Dr. Despina Moschou, an expert in Biosensors technology. She will be advising us on the development of our product, and has introduced us to suppliers in the space.

Biggest take away: the tech is 100% doable according to the top expert in the field, and it is very scalable.

We also did a bit of sightseeing and had loads of Prosecco. Awesome day! ☀️

💬 We pitched in front of EF for the first time

On Friday, we pitched Dromadis in front of every one else on the EF program for the first time. It was also very exciting to listen to all the other amazing companies that are forming on LD15.

💰 Got paid

Oh yeah, we actually get paid to build Dromadis Health. Sweet deal, EF.

What better way to celebrate our first pay than some delicious Italian food?

We talk a lot about Asparagus – but don’t worry, we didn’t forget about Onion! 🧅

This week, we had a great chat with a major contact lens company to explore potential ways we can work together. The excitement was mutual. More to come in future updates!
